Project Description Status
Window Door Facility

Spanaway

The Site is located in a light to heavy industrial developed area.  The Site consists of a total of approximately 47 acres of which 25 acres are industrially developed into a manufacturing center for wood and fiberglass doors, door glass, and guitars. There are four stormwater detention ponds (bioswales) on the Site. The ponds were constructed for collecting, treating, and storing stormwater runoff from the facility. The work was performed for the purpose of documenting the implementation of stormwater facility maintenance and source control programs. The stormwater runoff annual report for the Site was approved by the County.
Active Gasoline Station

Bremerton

This project included sampling stormwater runoff influent and effluent from an installed commercial treatment system at an active gasoline service station. Samples were collected during rain events and tested for conventional pollutants. The objective of the project was to provide an unbiased field evaluation of an installed commercial treatment system's influent and effluent water quality in order to satisfy the City of Bremerton's Public Works Department stormwater runoff monitoring requirements and determine overall contaminant removal efficiencies of the installed system. Based on the laboratory reports, it appears that the installed treatment system removed a significant amount of total zinc and dissolved zinc from the stormwater runoff.

The stormwater treatment system has met the city's requirements.
